Methodology
This directory is designed to give homeowners and commercial property owners a clearer, data-driven view of roofing contractor activity in Collier County. It is built on public permit data, regularly refreshed, cleaned, and analyzed to help users compare real market activity—not just marketing claims.
Our data is based on publicly available roofing permit records from Collier County, Florida. Permit data is downloaded on a recurring basis to keep the directory current and reflective of recent activity.
Permit records are cleaned, reviewed, and organized by contractor. We normalize contractor names and license numbers, remove duplicate records where possible, and structure the data into a consistent format for comparison.
Contractors are analyzed using total permit count, residential permit count, commercial permit count, and total declared project value. This helps show how active a contractor is in the local roofing market.
Contractors ranking in the top 5% by permit volume are highlighted in the directory. For this top tier, we build more robust profiles over time with additional trust signals such as Google reviews, BBB information, and other relevant business details.
Permit activity is a strong indicator of real project volume, but it should not be used as the only factor when hiring a contractor. We recommend using this data alongside reviews, licensing verification, insurance confirmation, and direct conversations.
Most contractor directories lean heavily on advertising and reviews. Our approach adds a more objective layer: actual permit-based activity in Collier County. The goal is to help users make more informed decisions using transparent, local, and data-backed insights.
